Independent design studio, London
We publish the number every studio hides.
Brand systems, product interfaces and the occasional stubborn spreadsheet. Our rates are on the site, and so is the maths behind them.
The instrument
A fixed fee is not a rate.
Quote eighteen thousand against a hundred and twenty hours and you have told yourself you charge a hundred and fifty an hour. Then two rounds you did not sell, twenty six hours of scoping you did before the job existed, and sixty days waiting to be paid. Move the sliders.
The model prices rounds as a step, not a slope, and only the unpaid balance finances anything. It cannot see a client who pays late twice, or the job you turned down to take this one.
What we do
01
Brand systems
Identity, type, motion and the rules that keep it upright once we leave. Delivered as a working Framer project, not a PDF.
02
Product interfaces
Design for things people use at work: dense screens, real states, and the eleven charts that have to agree.
03
Editorial and print
Books, catalogues and the occasional poster. Set properly, with the widows chased out.
04
Rate audits
We open your last six invoices and tell you what they actually paid per hour. Fixed fee, unsurprisingly.
Working together
Tell us the number and we will tell you the rounds.
We take four projects a quarter. Send the brief, the budget you actually have, and the date it has to be live.
